The much-anticipated next installment in the multi-series about the life of Jesus, The Chosen Season 2 launched on Resurrection Sunday, 2021. The crowd-funded series has delighted audiences worldwide with Season 1. Now fans can watch the next episodes which focuse on the relationships among Jesus’ followers.
“We didn’t know if getting to Season 2 was possible,” says a post on The Chosen Facebook Page. “On Easter Sunday, live on our FB and Youtube channels and our app, we OFFICIALLY become the first multi-season show about Jesus!”
The Chosen TV series about the life of Jesus was one of the best things about 2020. Right in the middle of Lockdown, some 50 million people were able to watch the first season via The Chosen app for free. The Chosen Season 2 was filmed despite the pandemic, as can be seen by the masks in these behind-the-scenes photographs.
“Between COVID-19 and the fact that we’re doing this outside the system, it has been a challenge to know exactly how and where we could produce Season 2,” said Dallas Jenkins. “But those are also the reasons we felt such urgency to get the stories of Jesus to the world as soon as possible. Our fans’ generosity is allowing us to overcome these hurdles.”
