“The Covenant,” is a compelling narrative of Old Testament Bible stories, from Lumo Project Films. A visual masterpiece it presents stories from the Bible through the perspective of Ezra. The stories include Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, and more, tailored for a global audience.
The Covenant is now available for streaming on Apple TV, and like other Lumo Project Films, it maintains its unwavering commitment to word-for-word Scripture narration. It leverages the New International Version (NIV) text to offer an accurate and contextual portrayal of the Old Testament, encouraging deeper Scripture engagement. Hannah Leader and Brent Green, producers, collaborated with an editorial committee comprising representatives from Bible Media Group, OneHope, Faith Comes by Hearing, SIL, and Jesus Film to craft a script that adheres to biblical accuracy. The film is set to be dubbed in 70 languages by the end of 2023.
“It was indeed a challenge to complete this project, with filming taking place in three different countries amidst COVID-related shutdowns and restrictions. However, we are thrilled to announce the film’s completion! Our hope is that this film will serve as a valuable tool, connecting people worldwide with God’s promises, from Creation to the present day,” shared Leader.
Mart Green of Hobby Lobby shared his excitement about the project, saying, “It’s exciting to have a visual Scripture narrative of the Torah from the Old Testament. This will be an invaluable resource for all who encounter it. Furthermore, the prospect of making it available in hundreds of languages is truly remarkable, offering a comprehensive view of the Kingdom of God.”
