I love spending time talking to people who are full of the fire of the Holy Spirit. In our present day, as it seems the world is in despair, the Holy Spirit is moving in power! No matter what is going on around us, revival is truly in the air. And I had the honor of talking to Kevin Dedmon, who is known as a “fire-starter” that God uses in signs and wonders.
Kevin has recently been spreading the message that America needs a “revivalution.” On my podcast, Adventures in the Spirit, Kevin shared keys for us to apply and see God move in power.
He recently posted on Facebook, “Regardless of whether you get vaccinated, get a booster, and wear a mask, we still need God’s intervention in this season, to not only protect and heal our bodies, but also guard the core values of freedom that our nation was founded upon … And we need Revivalists rising up to bring about a Revivalution.”
Revivalution
I asked Kevin what a “revivalution” is and he said, “It is rooted in the Jesus movement … this is what is driving me as we start a church in Orange County where the Jesus Movement started under Lonnie Frisbee, Chuck Smith and Calvary Chapel. There are agendas we can’t all figure out, and there is division everywhere. We need a third Great Awakening. A revivalution is spreading the fire of Acts chapter 2, the Day of Pentecost. We need the fire of God and we have to bring it.”
He continued saying, “We need to spread the fire of God. Revivalution is about a Great Awakening that leads to a great harvest, that leads to a revolution. When we look at history, there would be a Great Awakening. And the revival would shed light on injustice. Souls would be saved, and then justice comes to the earth … It seems like when God does something on the earth, He then brings more peace. We can all agree that the world needs God to intervene. God still loves the world, and people need to come to Jesus. We need to have an encounter, so that we become an encounter, for others to have an encounter with God.”
Kevin said, “The primary purpose of the Church is to go into every sphere of society and preach the Good News, and make disciples … It’s time for a Revivalution in the Church … and through the Church.”
He finished saying, “We are in the greatest moment in history. We don’t need more information; we need a demonstration of the Spirit’s power.”
