As Pro-lifers patiently await the Supreme Court ruling aimed at possibly overturning abortion in the USA, let us pray to end abortion and intercede for this on a regular basis.
The Purple Sash Revolution, which aims to rally believers to pray to end abortion, is a project of the Stanton Public Policy Center which champions the cause of women’s empowerment and equal rights for unborn babies. This month, January 2022, on the 49th Memorial of the tragic Roe v Wade decision, many pro-lifers, wearing purple sashes gathered outside the Supreme Court to hold a prayer vigil.
The vigil was led by Brandi Swindell, founder and CEO of Stanton and included laying 2,363 flowers in front of the Supreme Court, which represents the number of children who die every day from abortion violence. However, while pro-lifers laid thousands of flowers to honor children who have died from abortion, and women shared their personal stories of abortion grief, pro-choice advocates danced and celebrated abortion violence.
Pray to end abortion violence
“It was deeply disturbing to see radical pro-choice activists celebrate the killing of innocent children and mock women sharing painful stories of abortion regret,” Brandi said. “Their actions clearly demonstrate that the pro-abortion movement has never truly been concerned about the well-being of women or their empowerment.”
Nevertheless, Brandi shared how the power of prayer is our greatest weapon of love and hope in Christ, encouraging the crowd to pray to end abortion. She also stressed that believing pro-lifers should extend that love to even to pro-abortion activists yelling from across the sidewalk.
“As an advocate for women, human rights and founder of life-affirming women’s medical clinics, I am thrilled the tragic history of abortion violence in America, created by Roe v. Wade, is coming to an end. Our nation is now embracing the truth that unfettered access to abortion for the full nine months of pregnancy does not uplift women or advance justice and equality.
“After Roe v. Wade is dismantled, the pro-life community looks forward to working state by state to ensure abortion violence comes to an end. At Stanton Healthcare, we will continue to offer women with unexpected pregnancies professional and compassionate healthcare as well as physical and emotional support for their family.
