The Return inspires millions of Christians to come back to their first love

Saturday 26th September marked an important day for the USA as tens of thousands of Christians gathered in Washington, DC for Prayer March 2020 and The Return. Hosted by Jonathan Cahn and Kevin Jessip, the Return was a national and global day of prayer and repentance. In addition to the vast crowd on the national mall, many other gatherings were held in different countries with millions watching via television.

President Trump issued a proclamation naming 26th September 2020 The National Day of Prayer and Return, 2020. Held during the Ten Days of Awe / Repentance, starting with Rosh Hashanah and concluding with Yom Kippur, The Return could not have been more strategically planned. Significantly the event started with Jonathan Cahn blowing the shofar. “Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly.” (Joel 2:15)

The Return also coincides with the 400th Anniversary of the sailing of the Pilgrim Fathers to the New World on the Mayflower and the essential role they played in founding the American constitution on Godly values. It is to these values we must return.

Jonathan Cahn delivered a powerful prophetic word speaking about the many issues facing America which will lead to the judgment of God, if we as His people do not return to Him before we reach the point of no return.

Rabbi Cahn was joined by many, many influential Christian leaders from Bishop Harry Jackson to Anne Graham Lotz, Ché Ahn, Tony Perkins, Michelle Bachman, Jentezen Franklin, Cindy Jacobs, Carter Conton, Dr Michael Brown etc. Worship leaders included Michael W Smith, Don Moen, Paul Wilbur, Sean Feucht and others. Many Christian media figures also shared including Pat and Gordon Roberton, Steve Strang and Marcus Lamb.

Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council spoke of the fear gripping many believers in today’s society and how this is because they have lost their first love. “We have to drive fear out, along with complacency, compromise and silence,” he said. “We need to restore our love of God and stand fearless in the face of evil.”

Carter Conton of Times Square Church in NYC said God is calling the Church to become a force to be reckoned with in our society. “Let the glory of the risen Christ radiate on us again. We must return to our purpose on the earth as a testimony of God’s goodness and bring people back into relationship with God.”

Prophetic Word from Jonathan Cahn at The Return

“If America should ever disregard God’s eternal rules of order and right, then the smiles of his blessings will be removed from this land,” Rabbi Cahn shared in his prophetic address. “Without prayer and repentance, there can be no revival.”

He also touched on the scourge of racism and abortion in today’s society and how they are linked. “Black Lives Matter, and we say ‘Surely, they do.’ But how can you say Black Lives Matter but say nothing of the millions of black lives murdered in the womb?”

Jonathan Cahn is a pastor and NYT best selling author. His books, The Harbinger, The Shemitah and The Oracle have provided a bold warning concerning America’s departure from God and a passionate cry for repentance.

Kevin Jessip is the President of Global Strategic Alliance, faith-based organization whose mission is to restore Judeo-Christian values to the moral and civic framework of society.
