Tom Stamman-Phone A Prophet
Well, he did it again. My friend, prophetic minister, Tom Stamman gave out his phone number again. I guess you have to do that if God has led you to build a city that cares for orphans, rescue sex trafficking victims and is self-sustaining in agriculture due to current world situation. He is the first and only guest I’ve had on my podcast, ‘Adventures in the Spirit with Jared Laskey,’ to give his personal phone number as contact information and for the second time on my show. So I call it, ‘phone-a-prophet.’
In a time when most prophets keep their personal phone numbers private, Tom willingly gives his out, keeping in touch with over 4500 people. He does more than 350 prophetic meetings a year, probably being the most traveled prophet in America.
Tom’s Purposeful Ministry with Personal Connection
But his travels are with a purpose. In order to support his city of Refuge in Honduras with 77 buildings, a welding college, church, and 85 orphans, 110 employees and recently rescuing 2 girls from sex trafficking he will need to keep in touch with people. But added on top of this, he has ordained over 800 people into ministry.
Everywhere he travels he gives the opportunity for everyone in the meeting to receive a prophecy. He also offers seminars in equipping people to hear God and prophesy. Yet his motivation is to pursue the presence of God and support all the kids under his watch and care.
Inspiration to Care for Orphans
Tom’s wife, Teresa, is a doctor overseeing the medical care and is the Head of Operations for the City of Refuge. Part of God inspiring the Stammans to start an orphanage came from a dream Teresa receive from the Lord. Before committing her life to Christ she asked God, “Show me you are real!”
God answered powerfully! She had a dream of uniformed children marching like little soldiers and she asked God what it meant. The Lord said, “These are the future generations in the world, and if we don’t take care of that generation, it will be lost.” She then had a vision of a huge ticking clock going very fast. She asked the Lord for the meaning of the visions and He replied, saying, “Time is running out – the clock is ticking!”
